Natalí Alcalá Moreno'12
Natalí holds a Bachelor's Degree in Social Studies from Harvard University and a Latin American Studies Certificate from the David Rockefeller Center for Latin America. Since graduating she has worked in education reform for the Mexican military academies, developed research for high school curricular design, and taught high school humanities and social sciences. She is originally from Sonora, Mexico.
pierre Berastaín '11, M.Div. '14
Pierre is the Assistant Director of Innovation & Engagement for the National Latin@ Network for Healthy Families and Communities, the national Latin@ resource center for domestic and sexual violence in the US. He is Co-Founder of the Massachusetts Restorative Justice Collaborative, currently sits on the Executive Board of MERGE for Equality—an organization that works to engage men around violence prevention—and previously served as Co-Chair of the Massachusetts Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/Transgender Domestic Violence Coalition. As a contributor to the Huffington Post, he writes on domestic violence, restorative justice, and general issues of social justice.
Pierre is originally form Peru and immigrated to the United States in 1998. He holds an A.B. in Social Anthropology from Harvard College and a M.Div. from Harvard Divinity School.
Cristina Herndon '06-'07
Cristina is Director of Partner Relations at AdmitHub, an edtech startup using artificially intelligent chatbots to help students get to and through college. Passionate about the intersection of international development and education, she has focused on higher education access for underserved students in the US and Latin America for over 15 years, coordinating schools, universities, government agencies, and the private sector to make students' academic dreams a reality.
Cristina grew up between Lima, Perú and Atlanta, GA before attending Harvard College, where she graduated with an A.B. in Government.
Nicole Paulet Piedra '13, Ed.M.'15
Nicole currently serves as Director of Content at Laboratório de Educação, a São Paulo-based education nonprofit dedicated to the production of pedagogical content and teacher-training methodologies for language development, inside and outside of the school context. She previously conducted research for Comunidade Educativa CEDAC, a nonprofit organization leading large-scale teacher training programs in collaboration with municipal school districts throughout Brazil.
Originally from Peru, Nicole is an alumna of the United World Colleges movement and holds an A.B. in Social Studies from Harvard College and an M.Ed. in International Education Policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
ALINE DE ARAUJO SANTOS ED.M. '15
Aline is a Program Advisor at Laspau, a non-profit affiliate of Harvard University that connects individuals and institutions with opportunities to enhance the quality and impact of higher education in the Americas. Previously, she has worked in Brazil and in the United States teaching Portuguese and English and conducting research in psychology and education policy.
Aline holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the Universidade de São Paulo and a Ed.M. in International Education Policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Elisa Segovia '06
Elisa Segovia is a Senior Director for Marketing Strategy in Univision’s Corporate Marketing department serving as the Chief of Staff for the CMO. Previously, Elisa worked as a Senior Manager, and later a Director in Univision's Strategy and Insights group, advising CPG and Mass Retail clients on the development and success of their Hispanic marketing strategies. Elisa’s prior work experience focused on market research, having worked for boutique consulting firm Orion Consultants and specializing in developing customer relationship strategies for financial institutions.
Elisa has an A.B. in Economics from Harvard University and an M.B.A. with a marketing focus from Columbia University. She is originally from San Salvador, El Salvador.
Mayra Suarez '06, J.D. '12, M.P.P '12
Mayra is an Associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, LLP in Washington, D.C. She represents corporations in government enforcement actions, internal investigations, and civil litigation. She has also participated in pro bono representations.
Mayra is committed to enhancing diversity in the legal profession. She is a member of Skadden’s Diversity Committee, founded her office’s Latino Affinity Group, is a mentor to law school students, and is on the Board of the Pipeline to Practice Foundation.
Mayra holds an A.B. in Government from Harvard College, a J.D. from Harvard Law School, and an M.P.P. from the Harvard Kennedy School. She is originally from Mayaguez, Puerto Rico.
